Breast Augmentation with Lift (Mastopexy)

The combination of a breast augmentation with a breast lift (mastopexy) is a challenging operation because a surgeon has to perform accurately many procedures at the same time on the breasts. In many ways the two operations are opposing ones; hence the challenge. The proper way to perform any type of mastopexy (breast lift) is to re-arrange the breast tissue from the inside. Many surgeons just perform a "skin mastopexy". The results of that surgery are very mediocre and do not last over time.

This patient had a breast augmentation with saline filled breast implants and a vertical mastopexy (breast lift). The implants were placed in the sub muscular pockets. She wanted a natural looking breast not very different than her pre-operative appearance. Yet she wanted them larger and fuller. She went from a 36B to a 36C/36D. Her breast implants are 420cc's in volume. The post-operative result is 6 months following the surgery.
