This lady had a beautiful face that was obscured by her nose. Her nose was too large for her face. It was uneven. She wanted a rhinoplasty that would better fit her face and would also look natural. I feel that the aim of a rhinoplasty or nose job is o tony to reshape and refine the nose but furthermore to make the whole face look better. Every face is different and thus every rhinoplasty operation should be done with he intention to better fit the face to which it belongs too. Please note that at first glance the nostrils or bottom of the nose appears wider after the surgery. IT IS NOT WIDER. IT JUST APPEARS wider because the bulbous nasal tip and the rest of the nose have been narrowed. In general I do not like to narrow nostrils because they leave scars. I make exceptions for ethnic noses or in cases that my patients ask me. I typically even in these cases place the scars inside the nostrils and not outside. This way I hide the scars inside the nose.
The results that you see on this patient are only one month after the rhinoplasty surgery.
